Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional to fill the role of Flower Quality Assurance Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as we continue to grow and expand our operations.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to inspect flower shipments to ensure they meet our quality standards. This includes:
- Conducting thorough inspections of flower shipments for product quality issues and addressing them accordingly.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring quality procedures related to flower and product inspection.
- Conducting tests on flower samples for quality, size, and purity while maintaining hygiene standards at all stages of handling and transport.
- Providing expert advice to growers on disease management and informing them about health implications related to flower quality.
- Advising on pest identification, disease control regulations, and ensuring compliance with grading, packing, and loading standards.
- Examining imported flowers and related products for biosecurity risks and issuing necessary directions to mitigate these risks.
In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be required to patrol and investigate flower-related activities to enforce regulatory compliance as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a relevant Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant work experience or 3 years of relevant work experience if no formal qualification held.
This is a full-time position (38 hours per week) with opportunities for ongoing support from our dedicated team. The salary for this role is estimated to be between $60,000 and $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The currency used is Australian Dollars (AUD).
Key Responsibilities:
Flower Inspection and Testing:
- Inspect flower shipments for product quality issues and address them accordingly.
