About the Role

The Club Development Manager NSW/ACT is a critical position that oversees the development of AFL clubs in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. This role is responsible for driving excellence, supporting clubs, and fostering growth in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review ongoing projects and assess regional challenges to ensure optimal support for clubs.
  • Engage with AFL Sydney and Canberra Premier Division Clubs to oversee and support initiatives aimed at enhancing club environments.
  • Develop and oversee programs designed to enhance the club experience and improve retention rates.
  • Collaborate with all NSW/ACT game development functions to ensure effective communication and high-level interactions.
  • Engage volunteers with best practice education and compliance programs.
  • Maintain and support strong communication channels with leads across coaching, umpiring, and women's and girls' programs.
  • Oversee the deployment of recruitment, retention, reward, and recognition programs for volunteers.
  • Work closely with the AFL national team on key club development strategies and initiatives.
