About the Role

We are seeking an experienced secondary tutor to join our team at Kip McGrath Education Centre in Craigieburn. As a tutor, you will be responsible for teaching students using our proven methodology, which focuses on literacy and numeracy skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Tutoring: Deliver high-quality lessons to students in a small group setting, promoting their confidence and academic growth.
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Utilize our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face and online lessons, minimizing preparation time.
  • Communication and Feedback: Provide regular feedback to parents and maintain a positive relationship with students and their families.
  • Progress Monitoring: Accurately record students' progress and goals on a weekly basis using our learning management system.
  • Availability and Flexibility: Commit to teaching sessions as scheduled, with the possibility of working up to 3-4 sessions per day, Monday to Saturday.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A teaching degree or currently in the final year of your degree.
  • Working with Children Check: A current Working with Children Check is required.
  • Personality and Skills: A friendly, professional, and personable manner, with the ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
  • Technical Skills: Confidence in using software and computers, with a genuine love for learning and teaching.
  • Reliability and Organisation: Reliable, with high attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
