Greenkeeper Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to support the maintenance of a golf course and gain practical skills in turf management.

As an Apprentice Greenkeeper, you will work alongside our course maintenance team to present the course to our community and members.

Our apprenticeships cover theoretical and practical requirements of on-the-job and off-the-job training, ensuring you develop the knowledge and skills necessary for success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the maintenance of the golf course
  • Assisting with turf management activities
  • Completing a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management Course at Yallah TAFE
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent
  • Previous experience in turf management or a related field (desirable)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits:
  • Temporary full-time position up to 4 years
  • 38 hours per week
  • Competitive salary range from $584.20 per week to $803.30 per week
  • On-the-job training
  • Compulsory course costs paid by Council
  • Approved leave to attend TAFE
