Job Overview

Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive multi-platform content strategies to support teams and ensure efficient resource allocation.

  • Under the direction of senior editors, manage the futures diary, communicate upcoming events with output platforms, and initiate early planning processes.

  • In collaboration with senior editors, respond to breaking news with appropriate planning detail and follow-up to meet output needs.
  • Pitch story ideas that cater to new and underserved audiences, contributing to planning and editorial meetings.

About You

We seek a motivated and skilled individual with relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience working in a News environment. Excellent communication and planning skills, along with the ability to prioritize and meet production deadlines, are essential.

  • The ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to generate coverage plans and story ideas.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multi-platform content production and emerging technologies, with proficiency in multimedia editing and production systems highly desirable.
