AIA is building a modern data platform using Azure Databricks and Power BI.
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Data Solutions Architect to join our Technology team. This role involves data migration from legacy systems to Power BI, stakeholder engagement, designing and developing fit-for-purpose data solutions, ensuring availability and stability while promoting a high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Data Migration: Analyze data from various sources for report development. Design, develop and maintain robust and scalable reporting solutions using Power BI or other BI platforms.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Business stakeholders and the BI team to understand requirements and translate them into reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Data Solution Development: Take responsibility for development and delivery of data solutions by working closely with Project Managers, providing technical inputs on tasks required, estimations and overseeing release management processes to ensure successful project implementation.
- Standardization and Optimization: Develop all data solutions according to established standards and ensure consistency across solutions. Implement proper user access controls and optimize data solutions for performance.
- A bachelor's degree in information technology or related discipline with 6+ years of experience in data architecture, including data modeling, report design, and data visualization.
- Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL or other data manipulation languages.
- Experience with translating business requirements into appropriate data solutions that yield actionable results.
- Proficiency in creating complex reports, dashboards, and visualizations in PowerBI, along with strong skills in using Power Query for data transformation and understanding of data warehousing concepts and modeling within PowerBI.
- In-depth knowledge of DAX for creating measures, calculated columns, and complex calculations.
- Experience in implementing security within PowerBI and managing reports in the PowerBI service, including data refresh, scheduling, and sharing.
