Amana Living is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in the North Metropolitan area. This is an ongoing casual position that requires a high level of expertise and dedication to providing exceptional care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Occupational Therapists in conducting resident activities and outings, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
- Maintain accurate records, statistics, and progress notes, as required by the Occupational Therapist.
- Support the mobilization and transfer of residents, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with the care team to meet residents' personal care needs, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.
- Certificate III or IV in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as an OTA in the aged care sector.
- Current knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to older people with empathy and understanding.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, prioritizing workload and managing time effectively.
- Valid Police Clearance and NDIS Screening.
- Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks.
- Evidence of Flu and COVID vaccinations.
