About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the application engineering, programming, and troubleshooting of assigned installed projects. Your work will be in accordance with established quality standards, and you will be required to handle technical support for customers and maximize customer satisfaction with installed Security and/or Building Automation Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform in-depth analysis of plans, functional specifications, and contracts to determine and advise on overall project requirements.
  2. Manage various project aspects, including estimating, design, tracking, start-up, and planning phases.
  3. Provide input, reviews, and prepare shop drawings and wiring diagrams based on project plans and specifications.
  4. Advise Project Managers and/or Sales regarding appropriate products needed for installations.
  5. Identify issues on product lines to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  6. Provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.
  7. Install, configure, and support network systems and equipment for assigned projects.
  8. Assist Project Managers to prepare and/or review formal submittal booklets.
  9. Provide onsite assistance with installations and startups, check out and turnover processes.
  10. Act as a technical resource and support to sales executives.
  11. Prepare databases and job-related programming for computer-based systems.
  12. Provide performance feedback to management regarding Engineering Specialists and transfer knowledge and expertise to other Specialists.
Requirements:
  1. Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
  2. Solid knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to electronic security systems, building automation systems, and fire alarm systems.
  3. Advanced programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
  4. Self-starter with the ability to work well without supervision.
  5. Frequent visits to jobsites and some overnight travel required.
  6. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  7. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Highly proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications, AutoCAD, and/or viewing software; solid networking and IT skills.
Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a minimum of 2+ years of relevant Security industry experience, with experience working in a Data Centre environment being a must. A minimum Bachelor's Degree is required, and product-specific certifications are preferred. Full valid Australia driver's license with a clean record is also required. Please be aware that you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status to apply for this role.
