Cargo Security Specialist

Certis Security Australia is seeking a highly skilled Freight Screening Officer to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cargo screening operations across multiple sites, utilizing the latest screening equipment and following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with other officers to ensure the smooth operation of cargo screening activities, maintaining high standards of performance and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cargo freight screening
- Access control duties
- Operation of cargo screening equipment, including X-ray and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD)
- Recording screening information accurately
- Shifts will be varied across a 7-day roster, ranging from 4 to 12 hours
We offer a competitive salary package, including:
- A minimum salary of $55,000 per annum, based on relevant experience
- Security Award Level 2 rates + Aviation Allowance payable on each hour
- A comprehensive training program, including a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP) and 40 hours On-the-Job Training
- FREE uniform and staff parking on site
- Ongoing learning and development opportunities through our Learning Management System (LMS)
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Mandatory qualifications: Security License
- Desirable qualifications and experiences: experience with X-ray and screening equipment, previous cargo or passenger screening experience, ability to work unsupervised
