Editorial Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Editor to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in the publishing process, project managing books, copy-editing, proofreading, and management of page proofs.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an eye for detail. They will be responsible for reading and reporting on manuscripts, proposals, and books submitted for publication.

This is a full-time permanent role, with a flexible working arrangement including working from home and in the office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project managing books through all stages of the publishing process
  • Copy-editing and proofreading content
  • Managing page proofs and providing final files to production
  • Reading and reporting on manuscripts, proposals, and books submitted for publication

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in editing and publishing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An eye for detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
