About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team in an underground mining environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking preventative maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy equipment, including Sandvik, Caterpillar and Epiroc machines.

The role requires strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A trade qualification in Heavy Diesel is essential, along with a minimum of 2 years experience working on underground hardrock equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a current QLD drivers licence (manual) and be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and repair of heavy diesel equipment
  • Conducting effective diagnostics and fault finding
  • Working collaboratively with the mechanical underground supervisor and other team members
Requirements
  • Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel
  • Minimum 2 years experience working on underground hardrock equipment
  • Current QLD drivers licence (manual)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
