The RoleWe are seeking dependable candidates who can work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends, for morning, afternoon, and night shifts, as Personal Care Assistants at the Hedley Sutton Community, a Baptcare Residential Aged Care facility in Camberwell, Victoria.
Key Responsibilities- Listen to consumers and understand their needs and goals, supporting them to achieve their desired outcomes.
- Follow the care plan, working to a planned schedule under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Record consumer outcomes into the appropriate Baptcare records.
- Participate in the continuous improvement cycle at the home.
- Build relationships with families and other agencies/stakeholders to improve life for consumers in care.
- Report workplace risks to management.
- Report consumer risks to management, including inappropriate behaviours or actions not aligned to our values.
- Attend regular scheduled training to maintain your level of skill.
- Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care.
- Minimum of 12 months working experience in an Aged Care facility.
- Customer-focused with a passion for working in Aged Care.
- Excellent attention to detail, honesty, reliability, and a positive and flexible attitude.
- A proven ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team.
