As a skilled Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional pastry experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare high-quality bread, cakes, biscuits, desserts, and pastry items using best practice techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain consistency and quality control of all dishes from the pastry section according to established standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with new trends, ingredients, and techniques in pastry, contributing to the creation of innovative menu items.
  • Assist in supervising, training, and coaching other chefs in the pastry section.
  • E nsure the section is organized, clean, and adheres to strict hygiene standards.
  • Use equipment safely and efficiently while monitoring food and operating costs by reducing waste.
  • Lead kitchen pastry operations in the absence of the Head Pastry Chef.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Pastry or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a bulk production setting.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in kitchen administration and operations.
  • A local certificate in Food Handling, Hygiene, HACCP, or equivalent qualification.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and delegate tasks effectively.
  • The flexibility to work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
