Australian Tax Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned tax specialist to join our team as an Australia Tax Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to manage taxation compliance across our entities.
You will play a pivotal role within our in-house tax team, engaging with key internal and external stakeholders across the Group. You will also work closely with the Head of Finance – Pacific to provide strategic tax advice.
- Working with advisers and in-house finance teams to ensure the accurate preparation and timely filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with international tax laws and regulations.
- Providing guidance and support to other departments on tax-related matters, including structuring transactions, contract reviews, and financial planning.
- Assisting with ERP changes with a clear focus on process automation to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Managing indirect tax, responsible for preparation and lodgement of monthly BAS/CAS, Withholding Tax, Payroll Tax, FBT.
- Managing external auditors and advisers, monitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing their impact on the organisation.
- Degree and Qualified Accountant or Tax Advisor.
- Extensive experience (10 + years) in corporate tax.
- Experience in mid/large-tier practice or in-house tax function, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong tax accounting knowledge and previous work experience within the tax reporting arena.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate tax topics concisely to varied stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to network and foster collaboration across international and cross-functional teams across all levels of the organisation.
