Job Opportunity: Mobile Plant Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a mobile plant mechanic.

This is a permanent role with a respected client in the Perth area. You will work Monday to Friday from 6:00 am - 5:00 pm, with overtime available sometimes during the week.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Deliver scheduled servicing and inspections of mobile plant and equipment.
  • Carry out mechanical repairs and service works including hydraulics, boom rebuilds, pneumatics, and electrical services.
  • Maintain effective communications with internal and external customers.
  • Complete relevant documentation as required.
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices, trade assistants, and sub-contractors regarding maintenance tasks, if required.
  • Represent the company in its relationships with major customers.
  • Participate in training and multi-tasking.
Requirements:
  • A Mechanical Trade Qualification: Diesel Fitter or Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic.
  • A valid and clean WA drivers' licence (HR driver's licence preferred).
  • Forklift licence and Dogging ticket are desirable.
  • Air conditioning ticket desirable.
  • Experience with heavy equipment/plant, electrics, and hydraulics is essential.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to problem solve routine issues and proven commitment to safety.
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
  • Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents invited to apply.
