About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at NSW Health. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, support, and supervision to clinicians providing specialist interventions to children, young people, adults, and their families who have experienced sexual assault or problematic and harmful sexual behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and coordination of the Safe Wayz Program, an integrated program that provides training, education, support, and clinical interventions to government, non-government organizations, and families.
  • Support and mentor staff to ensure the service provides evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally safe care and intervention to clients and their families.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the Sexual Harm and Safety Service and hold a small clinical case load.
  • Actively support the team to be innovative, culturally safe, and evidence-based to develop and deliver effective and sound interventions that operationalize the NSW Health Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse, and Neglect (PARVAN) Framework, Service Standards, and relevant Policy and Procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Psychology.
  • Full registration with AHPRA or eligible for membership of AASW.
  • Hold a NSW Driver Licence with willingness to travel for work.
  • Extensive specialist knowledge in providing culturally responsive, child-centered, and family-focused counseling that is trauma-informed and evidence-based.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contextual and causal factors for sexual harm.
  • Effective time management skills, capacity to prioritize competing demands, managing and responding to self and colleagues in complex and/or stressful situations.
