Painter Job Description

We are seeking experienced professionals to fill the position of Painter. Our team provides high-quality painting services that protect and decorate various environments.

Our ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in residential and/or commercial painting, a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, and strong preparation and finishing skills.

  • Maintain a clean working environment and coordinate with colleagues.
  • Perform surface preparation including patching, sanding, and priming.
  • Apply undercoats, topcoats, and decorative finishes using various techniques.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Surface preparation: patching, sanding, gap sealing, priming
  • Applying undercoats and topcoats (brush, roller, and occasional spray)
  • Working with various finishes: low-sheen, gloss, and specialty paints
  • Applying wallpapers, setting out the area according to the pattern match, cutting paper to the appropriate length, application of paste and hanging
  • Applying decorative paint finishes such as stencils, colour glaze, graining, marbling and lettering.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Following project timelines and standards
  • Coordinating with team members and supervisors
