Job Title - Operational Delivery Director

The purpose of this role is to establish and guide a team dedicated to ensuring data retention practices meet legal, regulatory, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading a team to identify, document, and validate maximum retention timeframes for data assets containing personal information.
  • Assigning, tracking, and managing daily team activities to ensure outcomes are delivered on time.
  • Consulting and negotiating with teams to implement required solutions.
  • Engaging with business units and senior managers to agree on data retention requirements.
  • Overseeing the design and implementation of controls, monitoring mechanisms, and governance processes to ensure ongoing compliance.

As an Operational Delivery Director, you will be expected to have strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to guide a team to achieve meaningful outcomes in data governance.

You will need to demonstrate experience leading teams and managing daily delivery, as well as skilled in workload allocation, setting clear priorities, and fostering accountability.

A solid understanding of data compliance requirements is also essential.

Additionally, you will need to be able to translate business and regulatory requirements into practical system and process controls, and manage interdependencies between business units, systems, and processes.

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to track progress and report on outcomes, are also required.
