Job Summary">

The Senior Science Technician plays a vital role in supporting the science curriculum by maintaining equipment and materials in the laboratories. This is an opportunity to work collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring that the laboratory areas are clean, safe, and organized at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair scientific equipment and instruments in the laboratories.
  • Assist teaching staff with supervision of students during laboratory sessions, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the science department, including developing and maintaining records and reports related to the science laboratories.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory areas.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules for equipment and materials in the laboratories.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or higher qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • A high level of attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
