Accountant Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Accountant to join our team in SMSF processing.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a qualified Accountant to manage financial statements and income tax returns for Self-Managed Super Funds from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in SMSF processing, strong technical skills, and a fundamental understanding of the SIS Act and SIS Regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial statements and income tax returns for SMSFs
  • Manage workflow efficiently, ensuring timely completion of tasks
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including providers and statutory authorities, on behalf of clients
  • Solve complex problems, liaise with Auditors, Actuaries, and other stakeholders
  • Create detailed workpaper files, including investment, income, and Capital Gains Tax reconciliations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in SMSF processing
  • Strong technical skills, including a fundamental understanding of the SIS Act and SIS Regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
