About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented Recycling Team Member to join our Footscray store. As a key member of our recycling and production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that we meet our daily production targets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to the production team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Ensuring that sellable and recyclable items are properly sorted and processed
  • Replenishing hangers and stationery for each work station to maintain a well-organized environment
  • Working collaboratively with your team to achieve daily production goals
  • Supporting our safety culture by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Operating industrial equipment, including balers, bin lifters, and walkie stackers, to unload trucks and process recyclables
  • Providing excellent customer service and engaging with customers and donors to promote the Savers Australia experience
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Availability for part-time hours, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm
  • A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to work collaboratively with others
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in retail, production, warehousing, or hospitality
  • A passion for sustainability and reducing waste in the community
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
  • A strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
