Job Description

Moonee Valley City Council seeks a skilled reviewer to assess the technical accuracy and content of a climate vulnerability assessment report. The ideal candidate will have expertise in environmental science, urban planning, or a related field, and experience in peer review, report editing, and spatial data interpretation.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assess the technical accuracy of spatial data interpretation and environmental indicators.
  2. Evaluate the clarity, consistency, and logical structure of report content.
  3. Ensure alignment with grant objectives and council strategies.
  4. Review visual materials (maps, infographics, tables) for effectiveness in communicating findings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Urban/Regional Planning, Geography, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical review, report editing, or subject matter peer review.
  • Familiarity with spatial data products and principles of climate risk communication.
  • Prior experience with grant-funded projects or local government settings is highly regarded.
