Educator Leader for Early Childhood Development

We are seeking a dedicated Educator Leader to spearhead our high-quality early childhood education and care program at Community Services #1 in Narrabundah, ACT.

About the Role

As an Educator Leader, you will be responsible for fostering respectful relationships with children, families, and staff. You will oversee the provision of engaging learning environments that empower children to think critically and direct their own learning while ensuring the overall health, wellbeing, and safety of all children attending the service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster and nurture respectful relationships with children, families, and staff;
  • Oversee the provision of engaging learning environments that enable children to think critically and direct their own learning;
  • E nsure the overall health, wellbeing, and safety of all children attending the service;
  • Develop strategic partnerships with local agencies and community groups;
  • Manage day-to-day operational, financial, human resource, and marketing functions of the service in line with organisation policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Early Education and Care (or ACEQA approved equivalent);
  • Previous experience as a Director or Assistant Director;
  • Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration;
  • First aid certificate, and asthma and anaphylaxis certificates;
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to guide a team in providing quality early childhood education and care;
  • Sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations, Family Assistance Law, and the Early Years Learning Framework;
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Current driver licence and own car (desirable).
