Working as a Senior Forester is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the management of plantation forests. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering fire protection and custodial programs within the district.

Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and deliver forest fire protection activities, working closely with a hybrid workforce. You will need to possess demonstrated knowledge and skills in fire management strategies and methodologies for prevention and suppression.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in coordinating and delivering forest fire protection activities. Key qualifications include:

• Practical knowledge and skills in fire management strategies;
• At least 5 years' experience in forest fire protection activities;
• Proven commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance;
• Effective interpersonal communication skills;
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new applications quickly;
• Right to work within Australia;
• Bachelor of Forest Science or relevant tertiary qualification;
• Sector Commander level accreditation; and
• Unrestricted
