Your expertise will contribute significantly to the transition towards renewable energy sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the network planning initiatives associated with the establishment of D-REZs, ensuring the integration of embedded generators, energy storage solutions, and substantial load connections.
- Conduct thorough assessments of network capabilities, identifying both short-term and long-term limitations, and formulating strategies to enhance network security, capacity, and reliability.
- Devise innovative strategies to optimize the utilization of the sub-transmission network, facilitating increased connections for load and generation.
- Monitor compliance of 66kV generators and initiate necessary actions to rectify any non-compliance issues.
- Develop comprehensive network investment proposals that support regulatory submissions and enhance program delivery.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
- A degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in the energy sector, with a preference for utility-related roles.
- Advanced technical proficiency in electricity network planning.
- In-depth knowledge of the grid connection process, including relevant engineering studies and performance standards.
- Strong understanding of the National Electricity Rules and their application to network design.
- Expertise in power quality, system stability, and control mechanisms.
- Proficient in using electricity network analysis software and interpreting analytical results.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a capacity for innovative thinking.
