About the RoleThis locum opportunity is perfect for experienced psychologists seeking to supplement their part-time or flexible employment, indulge their passion for travel, or further enrich their extensive experience in mental health. As a Clinical Care Specialist - Mental Health, you will provide high-quality on-base clinical care to active ADF members, delivering evidence-based psychological strategies and comprehensive assessments.
You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team within a health centre, focusing on addressing the diverse mental health needs of ADF members. Your autonomy will include managing your caseload, overseeing externally referred cases, and providing treatment to Defence members. Furthermore, you will be supported in managing crisis situations, conducting risk assessments, and developing risk management plans as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary approach.

This casual locum opportunity offers a unique chance to explore every corner of Australia while covering your accommodation, travel expenses, and daily meal allowance. Ideal applicants possess:
- A current, unconditional, and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
- A minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience in mental health within the last 5 years, including conducting comprehensive assessments and delivering evidence-based focused psychological strategies.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (HLTAID009).
- Familiarity with state/territory policies, national standards, and the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 is highly desirable.
- Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence security clearance.
