The Role
Knight Piésold's team is seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to join our site-based team for projects in Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction of tailings dams, earthworks quality control and assurance, and supporting the successful implementation and delivery of project scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the construction of tailings dams in various locations
- Ensure earthworks quality control and assurance, including laboratory and field testing
- Support the successful implementation and delivery of project scope
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Engineering with either Geotechnical or Civil specializations
- Relevant work experience within the mining industry and experience with earth fill dam construction would be advantageous
- A strong understanding of earthworks QA/QC requirements
- Good communication and reporting skills
- A proven track record of site supervision and client liaison and able to demonstrate ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders would be advantageous
- Experience with laboratory and field testing of soils
