Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Urban Development Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Urban Development & Regeneration division, you'll be responsible for managing a high-performing team and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical advice, direction, and oversight of urban development engineering designs, ensuring they meet budgetary, quality, safety, and timeframe targets.
- Team Management: Manage selected designs and teams to develop and implement high-quality technical delivery, exceeding client expectations.
- Relationship Building: Foster effective and enduring relationships with internal teams, technical disciplines, and external organizations to maximize our technical offering and ensure design integrity.
- Subconsultant Management: Oversee subconsultants, quality assurance, client feedback, and ensure effective communication of changes or modifications.
- Interstate and Overseas Collaboration: Champion the involvement and inclusion of interstate and overseas teams, ensuring seamless integration into our service offering.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, preferably Civil Engineering, recognized by a relevant industry association or institute.
- Extensive experience in urban development design, with a minimum of ten years in a leadership or management role.
- Relevant industry experience, including overseeing engineering aspects of projects, applying standards, and technical knowledge within the urban development market.
- Ability to provide technical expertise and direction through consultative support and effective communication.
- Leadership, management, mentoring, and development skills to lead large to medium-scale project teams.
- Experience working in multi-discipline teams and/or project teams on major complex projects across various market sectors.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
