Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Create advanced software tools, applications, and execution pipelines for the Starship GNC team to fly vehicles efficiently, reliably, and robustly.

  • Design and lead development of new software projects, improving efficiency and reliability in existing tools and processes.
  • Participate in all mission phases from feasibility analysis and research to concrete mission design and launch operations.
  • Perform trajectory design, optimization, and dispersion analysis for Starship launch vehicle missions throughout flight phases.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline with 2+ years of experience in software engineering. Proficiency in Python and Python-based development frameworks is essential.

  • Experience in orbital mechanics, flight dynamics, classical dynamics, modeling, robotics, or simulation is highly valued.
  • Strong competency in software development practices, including testing and continuous integration.
  • Professional experience in web applications development and high-performance computing systems is an advantage.
