The Stores Officer role at Southside Staffing is a critical position that requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the secure, safe, and efficient receipt and dispatch of orders, as well as maintaining accurate documentation and databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receipting, storing, and dispatching goods
  • Processing orders and communicating with logistics companies
  • Conducting initial and final quality assurance inspections of materials and products
  • Raising non-compliance reports and communicating effectively with customers and stakeholders
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store room and ensuring accurate documentation and databases
  • Loading and unloading goods in a safe manner and operating security scanning equipment
  • Pick and pack orders and performing general stores/warehouse duties
  • Demonstrating commitment to safety and operating materials handling equipment

Requirements:

  • Full Federal Government Security Clearance required
  • Must be an Australian Citizen to work for the Federal Government
  • Forklift licence, essential
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow strict procedures and policies
  • Team focused and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions:

The Stores Officer will work in a warehouse environment, Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment and follow strict safety protocols.
