Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our friendly and supportive payroll team. As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for accurately processing and managing payroll for over 2000 employees on a fortnightly basis.

About the Role:

  • Process end-to-end payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee records in our payroll system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to payroll-related queries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare reconciliations for leave balances and backpays, and collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes.
  • Interpret complex employment awards and agreements to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Process terminations and other payroll-related tasks as required.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A compassionate and positive approach to customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
