About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Woolworths Group as a Cart Retrieval Specialist. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our stores are well-maintained and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Job Description

As a Cart Retrieval Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting carts from car parks and surrounding areas using a designated vehicle. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating the cart collection vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Loading carts onto the vehicle using ramps
  • Collections carts left in and around the store and returning them to designated bays
  • Performing pre-start and handover routines for the vehicle
  • Following safety and operational procedures related to vehicle operation and cart collection
  • Reporting any issues related to unretrievable carts

You may also be required to undertake cleaning and waste disposal tasks as part of your duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A full (unrestricted) Australian drivers' license or Provisional P2 drivers' license (Green P Plates)
  • Physical fitness, as you will be transitioning from driving a vehicle to physically collecting and loading carts throughout your shift
  • Availability to work across Monday-Sunday and shifts starting from 6am or 4pm
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
