About the Role

The Airports Program Manager plays a critical role in the overall program planning and governance of key Airport terminal projects across major Ports. This position requires highly effective stakeholder management, strong influencing skills, resilience, and a proven ability to navigate complexity in an ever-changing operational environment.

This is a fixed-term secondment opportunity based at Mascot. As the Airports Program Manager, you will be the program management expert for our local project teams and represent the business in infrastructure programs for major port redevelopments.

You will influence key stakeholders across the Program and act as the voice of both the business and the customer to ensure appropriate consideration and planning of the end-to-end requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement program plans that meet commercial imperatives on time.
  • Manage significant, complex projects or initiatives across multiple areas or business units with a substantial impact.
  • Risk manage the impact of terminal upgrades to our operation.
  • Act as a key liaison between project and business unit teams, providing a seamless experience for infrastructure programs.
  • Influence key stakeholders across the Program.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated highly effective stakeholder management with various internal and external teams at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Strong influencing skills, resilience, and a proven ability to navigate complexity in an ever-changing operational environment.
  • Extensive expertise in program management balancing competing priorities, prioritizing workload, and using effective problem-solving skills within an operational environment, preferably within Aviation.
  • Proven ability to manage significant, complex projects or initiatives across multiple areas or business units.
  • Strong background in delivery and implementation methodologies within Airports and aviation infrastructure, risk management, and principles of change.
  • An understanding of Airport and/or Airline operations and experience in managing change within these environments.
  • Ability and confidence to quickly identify key opportunities and issues in any business and develop strategies or plans to capitalize on these opportunities or resolve issues.
  • An appreciation of the industrial landscape and appreciation of how change impacts customer experience.
