Embedded Expertise is seeking a highly experienced Skilled Finishing Supervisor to oversee finishing activities on our construction sites. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a strong background in construction and finishing work.



About the Role


This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. As a Skilled Finishing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all finishing activities, managing subcontractors, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.



Responsibilities



  • Oversee all finishing activities, including carpentry, bricklaying, and other relevant trade work.
  • Manage subcontractors and coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Inspect work for compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the project.
  • Work closely with the project manager and other members of the construction team to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finishing team, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Monitor progress and performance of finishing activities, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all finishing work meets client expectations, delivering exceptional results every time.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, supporting the smooth operation of the project.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to the project manager, providing clear insights into project status and performance.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A proven track record as a Finishing Foreman or similar role, demonstrating expertise in construction and finishing work.
  • Carpentry, Bricklayer or other relevant trade apprenticeship or equivalent, showcasing your technical skills and knowledge.
  • Five years industry experience, highlighting your ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • A strong background in construction, with a focus on finishing work, enabling you to make informed decisions and drive project success.
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software, streamlining project operations and enhancing collaboration.


Salary Range


We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering exceptional results for Embedded Expertise and its clients.
