Workshop Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our team of mechanics in performing mechanical repair and maintenance on Council's Plant and Equipment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. They will also be involved in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve workshop efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the workshop
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve workshop efficiency and productivity
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III or higher in a relevant trade (e.g., automotive, machinery)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High level of attention to detail
