Job Title: Security and Risk Management Specialist

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead proactive security services across multiple campuses, supporting a mix of duties including campus safety initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and incident response.

  • Deliver exceptional security services with a customer-centric approach
  • Assess risks and contribute to preventative security strategies
  • Lead safety initiatives in Student Living precincts
  • Support emergency and critical incident responses
  • Travel between campuses for consistent support

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent stakeholder engagement skills, be confident in assessing security risks, and have the ability to work with diverse groups and large crowds with a calm and forward-thinking approach.

About the Role

This full-time continuing role is located at a Higher Education Level 6 and offers flexible working arrangements, generous leave entitlements, and discounts on private health insurance and software.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing high-level security services and support to staff, students, and visitors
  2. Contributing to the development and implementation of security policies and procedures
  3. Leading risk assessments and contributing to crime prevention strategies
  4. Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
