About the RoleThe Procurement Specialist is responsible for providing expert guidance to stakeholders on the procurement of goods and services. This involves analyzing the entire procure-to-pay cycle, supply chain management, vendor relationship management, contract administration, and governance to ensure seamless procurement outcomes.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure that core values such as safety, excellence, accountability, and respect are integrated into all aspects of procurement planning, implementation, management, and review.
- Determine business requirements, changes, risks, and expectations to inform strategic procurement decisions.
- Analyze category spend data, compile sourcing documents, and prepare market testing materials.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Provide support and guidance on procurement-related matters to stakeholders and promote best practices in procurement.
To excel in this role, you must possess strong teamwork and collaboration skills, valuing feedback and accountability in achieving business objectives. A keen eye for detail in writing and calculations, combined with commercial acumen and relationship-building abilities, is essential for success.
