Job Description
Assumption Catholic Primary School is a double stream co-educational school from Pre Kindy to Year 6, fostering a sense of pride and joy in its flourishing learning community. The school motto, "United in Christ", guides the entire community in its daily endeavors.

We seek a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher to join our school in 2025. This opportunity allows the successful candidate to contribute to a school that emphasizes the implementation of evidence-based teaching practices to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
Applicants will be highly motivated and committed to supporting staff in raising outcomes for all students through rigorous high-impact approaches to planning and teaching, with a focus on engagement and progress for every child. They will utilize ongoing assessment to check for understanding, differentiate teaching, and plan next steps in learning. Collaborative work is essential in implementing whole-school approaches consistently and taking collective responsibility for all students.
Applicants will be committed to ongoing professional learning and growth, ensuring they maintain and build on contemporary evidence-based approaches. This will involve coaching, classroom observation, and feedback.
Selection Criteria
- Excellence in teaching and classroom management as a dynamic, innovative, and reflective practitioner.
- Ability to differentiate the teaching and learning program to cater for student needs.
- Continuous analysis and use of data to inform teaching and learning practices to raise student achievement.
- High level of interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
- Positive, professional, and enthusiastic teacher who demonstrates initiative, a growth mindset, and a desire to continue improving.
- Sound understanding of the Western Australian & Australian Curriculum.
- Deep understanding, commitment to, and application of evidence-based educational practice, particularly high-impact instruction.
- Proven ability to plan collaboratively, implement whole-school approaches consistently, and take collective responsibility for students.
- High proficiency in the use and integration of ICT skills, especially iPads.
- Commitment to contributing actively to the life of the school.
Qualifications Required
- Relevant four-year tertiary qualification.
- Accreditation to Teach Religious Education Learning Area (or the ability to achieve).
