Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across our Western Australian sites.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in building maintenance, managing a team, and trade qualifications such as an A-Grade Electrician or qualified Plumber (including TMV work).

This is a key role within our team, responsible for providing hands-on assistance where applicable, limiting the need to engage contractors, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Aged care experience is desirable, but not essential.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously with limited direction, and be willing to contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements from time to time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to ensure all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Coordinate and manage maintenance activities, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Foster a positive and productive team culture, promoting open communication and collaboration.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Have a thorough understanding of maintenance practices and procedures, including OH&S and Fire/Evacuation regulations.
    • Be able to perform a wide variety of tasks, including use of tools and equipment.
  • Communication and Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to resident queries and concerns.
    • Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
    • Degree in Building Services Engineering or relevant field.
    • Trade qualification e.g. A Grade Electrician OR qualified Plumber (including TMV work).
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years' experience in building maintenance management.
  • Skillset:
    • Building maintenance management.
    • Team leadership.
    • Technical expertise.
    • Communication and customer service.
