Emergency Medicine Registrar Trainee/Service

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a metropolitan ED seeing 65,000 patients a year, with a comprehensive ACEM Primary, Written and OSCE exam teaching program and excellent pass rate.

As an Emergency Medicine Registrar Trainee/Service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of the department.

About the Role:

  • Work in a metropolitan ED seeing 65,000 patients a year
  • Comprehensive ACEM Primary, Written and OSCE exam teaching program with an excellent pass rate
  • 30% paediatrics and 70% adults, with an admission rate of ~ 20%
  • On the coast, and just 40 minutes-drive from the centre of the Perth CBD
  • Great supervision, supported education and professional development opportunities including 1:1 Ultrasound and SIM training
  • Opportunities for 6-month terms in ICU and Anaesthetics

About Us:

South Metropolitan Health Service is a public hospital in Rockingham, Western Australia, in the southwest of the Perth Metropolitan Region. Our 229-bed hospital has an emergency department, operating theatres, medical, surgical and paediatric wards. There are also aged care rehabilitation, intensive care, mental health, chemotherapy, and obstetrics units.
