Job Summary

WT Partnership is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our cost consultancy, you will be responsible for performing various quantity surveying functions, including estimating, planning, and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients, architects, and main contractors to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Identify and facilitate new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue
  • Develop and implement cost-effective solutions to maximize value for clients
  • Conduct cost checking of developing designs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Value engineering to optimize project costs and improve profitability
  • Tender evaluations and analysis to ensure best value for clients
  • Contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions
  • Cash flow management to ensure timely payments and minimize financial risks
  • Procurement to source materials and services at competitive prices
  • Cost reporting to provide accurate and timely financial information
  • Evaluation of variations to ensure fair and reasonable adjustments
  • Valuations to determine project costs and ensure accurate billing
  • Final account reporting to ensure complete and accurate project closure
  • Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation, and settlement to resolve disputes and ensure fair outcomes
  • Investment analysis to optimize project returns and minimize financial risks

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction
  • Experience in cost estimating and planning software, including Cost X
