Greenkeeper Specialist

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the safe operation of machinery and equipment, as well as experience in greenkeeping or turf management. They will also possess effective leadership and mentoring skills to guide their team.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and direct a team of Horticulture Professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Maintain sports fields and foreshores to a high standard through regular inspections and upkeep.
• Participate in continuous improvement practices and implement changes to improve processes and outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to complete asset inspections and customer requests for maintenance.

To succeed in this role, applicants should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Trade Certificate in Horticulture: A trade certificate in horticulture is essential for this role.
• Experience in Trades Level Horticulture Activities: Applicants should have demonstrated experience in trades level horticulture activities, including maintenance of sports and foreshore surfaces, reserves, trees, playgrounds, garden beds, and landscaped areas.
• Proven Ability to Operate and Maintain Horticultural Machinery: The ideal candidate will have proven ability to operate and maintain horticultural machinery, including specialized equipment.
