As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of road maintenance professionals in delivering cyclic maintenance programs, defect repairs, and scheme work on trunk roads in the North West of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of road maintenance professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality maintenance services.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the safe and efficient operation of trunk roads.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including timesheets, scheme files, and other relevant documentation.
  • Ensure the health and safety of team members and the public by implementing and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of maintenance services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities and other external partners.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in road maintenance, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality maintenance services and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • A fully approved UK driving license.
