Role Overview

As an Electrical and Combat Systems Specialist with the Australian Defence Force, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the Navy's advanced maritime platforms and systems. This position requires exceptional technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure the safe operation and combat capability of our ships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical and combat systems on board naval vessels.
  • Develop and implement solutions to complex engineering challenges, working closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Monitor system performance and failure, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Skill Requirements

  • Expertise in electrical and combat systems engineering, including radar, sonar, communication, navigation, and weapon systems.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in team management and resource allocation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
