Marketing Assistant Job Description

As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the strategy team and executing local area marketing strategies to achieve traffic, sales and growth targets.

This is an entry-level marketing position where you will have the opportunity to learn everything you need to know to launch your marketing career.

You will be exposed to all facets of the marketing function and be involved in the broader coordinating and planning for all our marketing activity, providing administrative support to the marketing team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategy team across retail and trade
  • Planning, coordinating and executing local area marketing strategies and activities
  • Coordinating Point of Sale and other print material for our extensive network of stores
  • Briefing artwork to our internal design team
  • Managing printing requirements for stores
  • Producing internal 'Ad News' publication to brief stores on marketing activity
  • Preparing analytical sales/traffic reports to assist in more effective marketing
  • Providing administrative support to the marketing team

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing
  • Demonstrated experience working with teams of people
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Fast, efficient worker with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to take initiative when needed
  • Great communication skills
  • A strong desire to learn and grow while contributing to the marketing team objectives
