Job Title

Lead Child Safeguarding Specialist


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will spearhead awareness initiatives across the community to promote the Child Safe Standards, the Reportable Conduct Scheme and the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Framework.

This role will be pivotal in driving cultural transformation by enhancing capacity and capability among organisations to implement child-safe practices in accordance with the Child Safe Standards and the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Act 2023.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop a comprehensive communication strategy for the Office of the Independent Regulator.
  • Oversee the establishment of a Community of Practice focused on Child Safe Standards within the Tasmanian community.
  • Foster collaboration with government and non-government stakeholders to ensure organisational compliance with the Child Safe Standards and the Reportable Conduct Scheme.
  • Manage the development and delivery of educational activities and presentations on the operations of the Office.
  • Provide expert advice to the Independent Regulator on effective engagement strategies and best practices for engaging stakeholders and the public.
Requirements

A current registration to work with vulnerable people is mandatory for this position.

Relevant tertiary qualifications are also essential.
