About the Role

The Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking a skilled Operations Tradesperson to join our team in the construction of roads and drainage infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will support the Team Leader in facilitating direction and participate in various manual laboring, plant operation, and skilled construction tasks.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to represent the Council in a positive and solutions-focused manner. You will work across multidisciplinary areas and project teams, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and interacting with community members as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Team Leader in facilitating direction and participating in construction tasks.
  2. Operate medium to large-scale plant, tools, and equipment, and perform manual laboring in relation to roads and drainage construction.
  3. Lead teams, provide effective communication, drive and manage performance, and foster a positive working culture.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and interact with community members as needed.
  5. Hold and maintain relevant qualifications, licenses, and certifications, including MR Driver's License, Ticket or Competency qualification, Forklift License, and WHS Induction Card.
