Graduate Teacher Program Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated graduates to join our team as Classroom Teachers in the State Government of Victoria, Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes
  • Monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community
  • Participate in professional development planning, implementation, and reflection, developing a professional portfolio
Program Benefits

Successful candidates may be eligible for an incentive payment of $5,650 (pre-tax) for meeting the eligibility criteria.

Requirements
  • Completed course requirements and graduated in the last 4 years
  • Not employed as a teacher by the Department at the time the advertised position is to commence
  • Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
