Medical Nurse Career

We are seeking an experienced Medical Nurse to join our team at a leading healthcare facility.

The successful applicant will secure permanent part-time employment working 0.6-0.8 of full-time hours, including rotating shifts, mornings, afternoons, and nights.

The Medical Unit offers a variety of opportunities to care for patients with specialized care needs, including rehabilitation, oncology, hematology, and general medicine.

Our team is supportive and collaborative, consisting of Nurses, Doctors, and Allied Health staff who work together to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients
  • Implementing planned evidence-based nursing interventions within scope of practice
  • Acting as a patient advocate to ensure informed consent and respect patient rights
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients and staff
  • Complying with infection control policies and practices

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Minimum of 1 post-graduate experience working in an acute medical setting
  • High-level skills in problem-solving, communication, coordination, and time management
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy multidisciplinary team environment
  • Competency in clinical problem-solving and written/verbal communication
