The role of a Montessori Educator is multifaceted and requires strong relationships with children, dedication to their unique learning processes, and the ability to create a safe and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop lasting bonds with children at the service
- Curate and implement educational programs aligned with Early Years Learning Framework guidelines
- Maintain a secure environment for staff and children, prioritizing the needs of those with special requirements
- Accurately record incidents, accidents, and medication administration
- Embed the service's philosophy in all aspects of work
- Communicate effectively with families regarding daily events
- Monitor and document individual children's progress, focusing on those identified through staff observation
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent) or actively pursuing qualification
- Current Working with Children Check
- Comprehensive understanding of regulations and legislation related to childcare services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Knowledge and application of the National Quality Framework, encompassing the National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
